Membership:
A Kiwanis clubs is organized around a core membership of selected service-minded men and women who reflect the communtiy profile. Prospective members are invited to join by existing members. Membership information is then reviewed and approved by the club's board of directors.
Time:
Kiwanis clubs are asked to meet at a convenient time and place decided by the club's members. Kiwanians, on average, invest about six hours a month by participating in club meetings and volunteering in their community. There are no attendance requirements, but active participation is encouraged.
Cost:
Beyond an initial membership induction fee, members contribute annual dues determined by the club to finance the administrative duties of the club and provide for its commitments to the district and Kiwanis International. All monies needed to accomplish a project are raised through fundraising.
